ADHD Consultation
If you're wondering whether ADHD might be playing a role in your life—or the life of someone you care about—Thiemann Mental Health Services offers focused ADHD consultations designed to provide clarity, support, and next steps.
This is not a full psychological evaluation, but a structured, evidence-informed consultation tailored specifically to ADHD. Here's how the process works:
Step 1: Onboarding & Initial Interview (60–90 minutes)
- We begin with a comprehensive interview to understand the full picture.
- A deposit secures your consultation spot
- Initial forms and consent documents are completed
- I meet with the individual (and/or parents, if applicable) to gather detailed history and context
Step 2a: Testing Administration (2.5–3 hours, with breaks)
The individual seeking consultation completes a series of standardized testing that target attention, focus, executive functioning, and related cognitive skills.
This is done in a relaxed, structured environment—with breaks to support comfort and performance.
Step 2b: Collateral Input & Follow-Up
To ensure a well-rounded evaluation:
- Rating scales are sent to important people in the individual's life (e.g. parents, partners, teachers, employers)
- We may request a Release of Information (ROI) to contact schools, doctors, or others as needed
- Any follow-up information is gathered to complete the picture
Step 3: Feedback Session (1 hour) & Final Report Delivery
We meet to review the results, discuss patterns seen in the data, and talk through:
- Whether an ADHD diagnosis is applicable
- Personalized recommendations and next steps
- Any questions or concerns you may have
You receive a comprehensive, easy-to-read report summarizing the findings.
This report is designed so you control what gets shared, whether with schools, workplaces, or healthcare providers.
